Region 2

Region 2 of PI is comprised of the former Eastern Block countries of Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia.  Czech and Slovakia were one nation under the Soviet regime and split shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall in what is known as the “Velvet Divorce” because of the mutual decision by each country to split from each other.  To learn more about each country, please select the respective nation on the right.
