Join PI’s Epistle
There is an interesting thread throughout Scripture, one that is completely unrelated to “Spiritual” matters that over and over pivots, repositions, and even changes this incredible story of history that you and I are part of. It’s a simple word and something that we all experience on almost a daily basis. And that’s… hunger.
The basis of hunger pivots the story of the Bible over and over again. Adam and Eve ATE the fruit. Abraham wanders the desert, often in search of food. The Israelites find themselves in Egypt due to hunger. The stories of the Israelite exodus, many stories within Judges, Ruth, and more often center or pivot, based on hunger. The Prodigal Son, arguably the greatest of parables that Jesus preaches, pivots because the prodigal son was… hungry.
It’s interesting that throughout Scripture, the Lord continuously responds to people in hungry situations. We could argue this was the single qualification of the disciples for following Jesus. If we trace moves of God throughout history, 100% of revivals are precipitated by people hungry. As I’ve continually thought about this, having conversations with people engaged with the church globally, it is a constant reminder of our responsibility to maintain the edge of hunger for the the things of God, or in truth, He will just move on. So where’s our hunger level? Do we have a Plan B apart from God moving in our life as we step out in faith on what we believe He has led us into? Comfort and difficulties seem to be the key points of distraction that “satisfy” our hunger. So, let us continually guard our appetite and posture ourselves to live a hungry life.
What we love at PI is that we have the incredible privilege of working with leaders and groups all around the world that are consistently hungry. In fact, that is perhaps the top requirement for us to work with a movement or church, the hunger for the things of God and the innate desire to fulfill the Commission of advancing the Kingdom in their environments, and it is a true honor to be a part of their stories. In fact, from February through May, our PI team taught in over 107 training schools, with probably double that amount of training sessions being taught by our students. It’s incredible for us to process and think about, but one of the frustrations we have is not being able to communicate everything the Lord is doing around the world to you, our friends and partners, which is why we have a big announcement!
We are moving our traditional monthly newsletter to an online platform called Epistle! What will happen you ask? You can follow the link below and sign up in just a few steps:

We are praying and hoping that this will give a greater opportunity to see the scope of what God is doing around the world, of the stories we get to hear but cannot always post publicly or in a newsletter, so that our hearts can continually be stirred, and we our hunger for the things of God may increase!
