PI is in a season of massive change!
Tommy Hood, Drew Brown, and Beth White have all left the team after many years of serving to lead their own ministries in this desperate world. Our staff today is spread across the world in five nations. Team meetings are digital rather than
face to face. Change is in the air! We’ve left our offices as we’ve sold our home base and are awaiting our next work place to open in October! Change is in the air!!
We are in the midst of a terribly uncomfortable shift from operating as a Texas based Mission group to a Global team to more effectively cover the earth with the glory of the Son of God as we train and equip emerging frontline shepherds and servants to bring Jesus forcefully
to their world.
I read incessantly. Recently, I discovered that the male Blue Soft-shelled Crab of the Chesapeake lives by change. Three times a year the shell that had become its home, it’s security, it’s safety begins to restrict and strangle the little critter. When the feeling of restraint becomes insufferable, he crawls under a rock and literally rips his skin free from his shell and wriggles out a little, defenseless blob. Within a day, the little fellow has an upgrade ready for the next part of his journey. He lives by change!
I want you to know we have wriggled ourselves free of many things that have served us well in the past, but will strangle us going forward. We all feel a bit defenseless and insecure lying here under the Rock, but upgrade is coming. Soon, we will be in a ‘shell’ that fits just right
for this expanded role of bringing this message of Jesus and His Kingdom to leaders worldwide. Change is in the air! I love it…I hate it…just can’t really LIVE without it.
I want to encourage you, our partner, embrace the change of this season in the Spirit of our Lord. When your comfortable now begins to restrict and suffocate you, crawl under the Rock, wiggle out of your shell with your eyes upon Him. It’s a scary place, but life happens right there. We live by change!
