Taking Time To Be Family

Our ‘family’ has grown!  What to do when your family grows?  But not just grows, but grows with the adding of others from different cultures!  Hmmm… sounds like the Kingdom. What does PI do?  We get a strategy from God.  A strategy to ensure that PI will thrive as a family of families at home so that we can be an effective representation and propagator of the Family of God, His Kingdom.  Taking a trip with the ‘staff and their spouses’ was one part of the strategy!

In October we went to Redding, California to be not only in the prayer and worship atmosphere of Bethel but to BE TOGETHER!   We became  a better family.  We laughed together.  We traveled in caravan together.  We cooked and ate together.  We prayed together. We worshiped together.  We hiked together.  We played together.  We lived life together.  We made memories together!

“God spoke to each of our hearts.  It was beautiful to see how God again used our team to hear Him more distinctly and see Him more clearly.”

One day we went to an Escape Room!  It was amazing to see people fall into place in order to accomplish our goal of solving the mystery and getting out of the room under time.  I found my place, soon joined by Lindsay and Dawn, and together we completed the puzzle pieces.  Derek and Sharla had been in one before (critical) so they showed us the way.  But we all did our part!!!  It was fun.  Yes!  We are all competitive.  And we are a team!  Our opponent was time!  But we were victors!!!  All was good!

One morning, after private prayer in the Bethel Prayer Room,  we met outside the coffee bar and discussed what we were hearing from God.  God spoke to each of our hearts.  It was beautiful to see how God again used our team to hear Him more distinctly and see Him more clearly.  We laughed, we cried, we saw Jesus in such a practical way through each other.  The value of not only our staff but the clarity that the spouses brought to the circle was incredible.

Truly, the Kingdom is a family!  The only way that we can effectively minister the Kingdom and become family with our friends in the nations is if we are first ‘family’ at home!  So fun to have God as our Father and our friends as family!
