Kingdom Mentality

One of the beautiful aspects of seeing the Kingdom of God takes hold of someone is watching how it changes a person’s thinking.  It doesn’t matter what culture you are from; your mentality is the key to your destiny.  How you understand the world around you, how you view God, how you define yourself and how you interpret your circumstances; the Kingdom of God is a mentality.  It is THE mentality.  It is the answer to every culture’s deficit.  It is the answer to poverty thinking, it is the answer to traditional thinking, it is the answer to greed, it is the answer to mediocrity – it is the answer!

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.   (I Corinthians 2:12-16 NASB)

When a believer begins to SEE the Kingdom, faith begins to change from just believing in God and believing that He can do something to believing that God is on the move and we can SEE His work in and through us.  We have watched men and women all over the world wake up to a world where the limitations of culture, economy, or government are gone.  A world where the impossible is not only possible, it is imperative.  In the kingdom, faith takes on a more relevant, vibrant, NOW role.  Dawn and I have seen it take root and increase in our home and ministry, and we are seeing it catalyze men and women from multiple nations and cultures.

The reality of God’s Kingdom and the way it ‘transforms us by renewing our thinking’ (Romans 12:2) is the central message of every course we teach, every mentoring conversation, every sermon we preach, and every prayer we pray.  I’ve seen what happens when someone sees and enters the kingdom.  It is awesome to behold.  This transforming kingdom mentality is our message – it is our mission – and it is working.

In this moment, while I write this last paragraph, I am praying for you.  Your mentality is the key to your destiny.  I am praying that you are captured by the reality of the Kingdom of God; that you see this kingdom and become transformed with a way of thinking that comes straight from heaven.  It is the answer you need.  And together we are bringing this answer to a world that desperately needs a new way of thinking.
