Reboot Mission
This has been a year of an almost complete reboot of our work worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic, then the war within Ukraine, either slowed or postponed much of our European work and put a big hold on many other regions of the world. But, I have great news. We are full speed ahead in over 20 nations and pioneering new works in five to seven others. This month, we have served or carried out major training in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Southern Balkan nations of Albania and Macedonia, Hungary, Kenya, South Africa, Cambodia, Nepal, and others. Amazing. Our team is only 12 strong, but we have hundreds of co-working Kingdom partners worldwide. God’s great mission dream of covering the world with the triumphant Kingdom of His dear Son is carried on through partnership. You don’t have to be big or mighty. You just have to connect and partner with many to do great things!
Going and Sending
One of the unique ways His divine partnership works is in the “going and sending equation.” Some are called to GO, and others are called to SEND. When the goers are partnered with the senders, the Lord has His way in the world of men. Listen to Paul, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone [going] preaching? And how are they to [go] preach unless they are sent?” (Romans 10:13–15) Many of you who are reading this short message have been called as senders, which is one of the greatest callings one can have from the Lord Jesus Christ. For everyone who goes, there must be a host of senders beside and behind them as the sending agent that hurls them into the world as God’s healing, saving agent.
Hidden
Serving as a sender is a thankless and often hidden job. Your prayer life is aimed at people around the world you may never meet in person. Your giving reaches so much further than your daily life can touch. You are seeking to bear fruit in places you may never travel to, yet your gifts and prayers make an enormous impact. When I or another teammate from PI live on the field, there is a satisfaction that immediately comes as people receive Christ’s words, are touched by His Spirit, and feel loved by one of us. That’s so sweet. For senders they will often never feel that immediate touch, that immediate satisfaction of seeing firsthand our Lord Jesus build His Kingdom within others in the remote places of the world! Senders, you are God’s champions! You are that pure breed of Kingdom servants who are seeking a reward there and need very little here. You are God’s secret weapon in His world mission method. Thank you for serving as senders.
